The festival is an event organized by the People's Committee of Phong Dien rural district in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, aiming to celebrate Vietnam Tourism Day on July 9th, while creating a highlight for local tourism. The event aims to introduce specialty fruits, cuisine, and unique tourism products of Can Tho city in general and Phong Dien rural district in particular. Thereby, promoting eco-tourism; Foster opportunities for garden spots and tourism businesses to connect and develop tours that attract visitors to Phong Dien rural district.

This year's festival features 18 activities, some of which officially commenced today. These include tourism promotion booths, OCOP product promotion booths, trade fairs, art fruit display contests with the theme "Phong Dien tourism", cuisine - folk cakes, the "Can Tho Women Start-up, Innovation - Creativity" chain of activities, and photo exhibitions...

The opening ceremony and electric vehicle parade kick off the festivities on July 6th, followed by performances, folk games, composite shell racing, and sports tournaments.
