At the reception, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu noted that Can Tho is the hub of the Mekong Delta with its healthcare development higher than the regional average, therefore, hospitals there provide services for not only local residents but also patients in the entire region. However, the medical sector of Can Tho City is facing limitations in science, technology, and equipment, he said, showing his hope that Siemens Healthineers will support Can Tho in high-tech equipment and high-quality human resources training in the field of healthcare

Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu Nguyen Van Hieu stated that Germany is a global leader in science and technology, particularly in high-tech medicine. This is beneficial for developing countries like Vietnam. He hopes that Siemens Healthineers will promptly implement specific programs in the Mekong Delta.

The official said that the city will direct departments and sectors to closely coordinate with the firm during the implementation of the programs, thus benefiting the whole region.

The leader of Can Tho City also highly appreciated the cooperative relationship between Siemens Healthineers and Can Tho Stroke International Services (S.I.S Can Tho). He stated that this partnership represents a successful private healthcare model in the region. The hospital's decision to choose Siemens Healthineers as the leading supplier of medical machinery and equipment was deemed very suitable and determined, contributing to the hospital's prestige and brand building.

The official said he hopes Siemens Healthineers will continue to support S.I.S Can Tho and other healthcare establishments in the city, especially those in disadvantaged areas. Additionally, he suggested that the Group could also consider providing modern medical equipment to other private hospitals in the city.

CEO of Siemens Healthineers Bernd Montag thanked Can Tho City leaders for the warm welcome and expressed his hope to further contribute to the local healthcare sector.

He said that his company has worked with S.I.S Can Tho to provide effective cardiovascular treatments to many patients from the city and its neighboring localities.

The firm hopes to support local hospitals in training and digitalization to serve their sustainable development, Bernd Montag said.
