Additionally, it aims to adapt to climate change, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and contribute to fulfilling Vietnam’s international mitigation commitments, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Currently, Can Tho City has approximately 50,000 hectares.

Can Tho is encouraging local businesses to expand the export of their agricultural products to Halal markets, including Indonesia. In addition to rice products, the city expects to export other agricultural products such as fruits and seafood to Indonesia, Hieu said.

Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee Nguyen Van Hieu expressed his hope that the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture's visit to Can Tho City will lead to numerous opportunities for cooperation across various fields, aligning with the potential and strengths of both sides. He also wished for an increasing number of Indonesian investors to visit Can Tho and explore collaboration and investment opportunities in the city. Can Tho authorities are dedicated to providing favorable conditions for Indonesian investors interested in Can Tho.
