Thot Not District is collaborating with the Can Tho Municipal Department of Construction to develop plans for a yacht marina system along the Hau River. The district is also coordinating with the Can Tho Municipal Department of Planning and Investment to submit investment attraction projects for approval by the Can Tho Municipal People's Committee. Notable projects include the 65-hectare Khai Long Ecotourism Resort and the 41-hectare Con Tien Luxury Resort, which are expected to enhance tourism in the Tan Loc Islet area.
According to the Adjusted Master Plan for Tourism Development of Can Tho City to 2020, with a vision toward 2030, Tan Loc Islet has been designated as a community-based ecotourism destination in the city's western tourism zone. As a result, the Tan Loc Tourism Development Plan has been approved and is now being implemented. The plan aims to leverage the area's agricultural landscape and riverine cultural heritage to create unique tourism products. The ultimate goal is to establish Tan Loc as one of Can Tho's premier destinations for ecotourism, community tourism, and leisure activities.
In recent years, That Not has actively sought investment in various infrastructure projects, including piers, transit hubs, and specialized tourism products. The district is also calling for investment to expand Bang Lang Stork Garden for ecotourism, develop Thuan Hung rice paper village into a cultural tourism site, and create OCOP-standard products linked to tourism.
