Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of the Republic of France to Vietnam, delivered a speech.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of the Republic of France to Vietnam, along with representatives of Can Tho City’s leadership. Speaking at the event, Mr. Olivier Brochet emphasized that the "Label FrancÉducation" is a prestigious international certification granted by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to schools worldwide that demonstrate outstanding quality in teaching French and other subjects in French. To date, approximately 600 schools globally, from primary to high school levels, have been honored with this distinction. In Vietnam, 21 schools have received this recognition, and Tran Quoc Toan Primary School is the second in Can Tho City to achieve this honor, following Ly Tu Trong Specialized High School.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, delivered a speech.
In her remarks, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, warmly congratulated the collective achievements of the administrators, teachers, and students of Tran Quoc Toan Primary School. She highlighted that this is not only an international recognition of the quality of French language teaching but also a testament to the continuous efforts and dedication of the school’s teachers and students. She urged the school to build on these accomplishments, further enhance the quality of French teaching and learning, and contribute to promoting French education in Can Tho City while opening doors to broader international cooperation opportunities.
At the same time, Can Tho City’s leadership expressed their hope that the Ambassador and Francophone organizations would continue to support and collaborate with the locality in developing modern, advanced French education programs. This would create favorable conditions for more schools in Can Tho to achieve this prestigious certification.
* On the same morning of March 7, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Can Tho City, the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of the city, and the Can Tho City Department of Education and Training jointly organized a French speech competition for teachers, themed “Innovation and Challenges in Teaching French,” exclusively for teachers currently teaching French in the city.
