This event marks an important milestone in strengthening long-term cooperation and coordination in the fields of education, training, and healthcare between Nam Can Tho University and international partners, including VMED Organization (India).
Specifically, both parties have entered into a collaboration agreement to provide consulting services for studying abroad and admitting international students from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Middle Eastern countries, and other nations to participate in health-related programs accredited by Nam Can Tho University
According to the agreement, in 2024, Nam Can Tho University and VMED Organization will implement the first phase of medical doctor training program for 150 international students studying at the university. Students will have the opportunity to study and practice from the first year within the ecosystem of Nam Can Tho University, which includes Nam Can Tho University Hospital and its affiliated units. Students with a good English foundation from the university are also encouraged to participate in this program.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, the Rector of Nam Can Tho University, expressed gratitude to VMED Organization (India) for choosing Nam Can Tho University as a collaborative partner in Can Tho city. He also expressed confidence that both sides will closely cooperate with each other in the coming time.
Mr. Srinesh Vallabhaneni, Director of VMED Organization, expects that through this collaboration, it will create opportunities for students from both Vietnam and India to study and exchange cultures, as well as open prospects for more international students from not only India but also Central Asian and Middle Eastern countries to come and study, research at the university.

After 11 years of establishment and development, the university currently has over 22,000 students studying at the university, with more than 10,000 graduates. In recent years, the university has made efforts to be officially listed among the recognized medical universities in the world, meeting the criteria set by the reputable World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). This opens up opportunities for international students to study and intern at Nam Can Tho University, providing them access to advanced quality education from the undergraduate level at the university.
