According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defence of Co Do District, a heavy rainstorm with hail and tornadoes at around 5:00 p.m. on June 15 caused serious damage to the local people at Co Do District.
Consequently, nearly 60 houses were damaged or completely collapsed and approximately 500 fruit trees were knocked down. The total property damage was estimated at 850 million VND. Thanh Phu commune was the hardest hit, with nearly 50 houses being damaged or destroyed, leading to an estimated property damage of nearly 700 million VND. Unfortunately, the heavy storm also caused a tragic death to a person in Thanh Phu Ward, Co Do District.

After the natural disaster, the local authorities immediately started reparation work and supported the people in affected areas.
