Can Tho issued a plan to reopen tourism activities under the new normal state

The People's Committee of Can Tho city issued a plan on reopening full tourism activities under the new normal state. Accordingly, Can Tho city will open international and domestic tourism activities under the new normal state via air, road, and waterways, in accordance with regulations on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic according to the instructions from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Specifically, people entering Vietnam by air must have a negative result of SARS-CoV-2 test (except for children under 2 years of age) before departure within 72 hours if they take RT-PCR/RT-LAMP tests, or within 24 hours if they take rapid antigen tests for SARS-CoV-2 virus, with the results thereof approved by the countries where the tests are conducted.

People entering Vietnam by other routes (land, waterway, railway) must take the tests as required for people entering by air. In cases where they do not have negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 as required, the tests (RT-PCR/RT-LAMP tests or rapid antigen tests) for SARS-CoV-2 virus must be conducted within the first 24 hours after they enter Vietnam.

Children under 2 years of age are exempt from the SARS-CoV-2 testing requirement and shall be allowed to enter Vietnam and participate in activities outside of their accommodations with their parents and relatives, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated against COVID-19, or infected with SARS-CoV-2, or not.

When entering Vietnam, tourists must install and use the health declaration application (PC-COVID) to make health declarations and monitor their health in accordance with local regulations. Foreigners entering Vietnam must pay US$30 per person on average to enjoy the insurance benefits worth at least US$10,000 for COVID-19 treatment in Vietnam.

For domestic tourism activities, following the Instruction 3862/HD-BHTTDL dated October 18th, 2021 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the implementation of Resolution 128/NQ-CP dated October 11th, 2021 of the Government promulgating the Provisional Regulations “Adapting safely, flexibly and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic effectively” and related guiding documents to ensure safety disease prevention and control. At the same time, implementing the Program to stimulate demands and resume domestic tourism activities nationwide such as promoting destinations, and creating diversified and attractive tourism products together with interesting experiences.
