Recently, Cai Rang District People's Committee has coordinated with the city's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to issue a plan to organize the 6th Cai Rang Floating Market Cultural Tourism Festival in 2022, in response to Vietnam Tourism Day (July 9th).

The event of Cai Rang Floating Market Cultural Tourism Festival is organized to preserve and develop Cai Rang Floating Market in association with introducing and promoting the cultural image of Cai Rang Floating Market, creating a tourist highlight of the city in general and the district in particular to domestic and international tourists; associated with activities to stimulate tourism, recover and develop the economy in the area.

At the same time, this plan creates conditions for tourism businesses inside and outside the district to cooperate tours with travel agencies to attract tourists to Cai Rang district and neighboring districts in the city. Activities organized during the festival must be associated with the cultural characteristics of the river region, creating conditions for visitors to experience the real life of merchants on Cai Rang Floating Market.

Specifically, the opening ceremony of the festival will take place at 8:00 am on July 8 and close at 7 pm on July 10. The festival has various attractive activities such as picking up trash on the river; marching ships on the river; displaying flowers on boats and decorating boats, ships, and rafts; free serving of fruits and folk cakes for visitors who visit the floating market; “Dragon Boat” racing; presenting and introducing agricultural products, tourism promotion; the Cai Rang District’s Taekwondo Championship in 2022; commercial and entertainment activities and social activities, etc. On this occasion, the People's Committee of Cai Rang district presided over and coordinated with relevant departments and branches to organize a conference to review the 5-year implementation of the Conservation and development project of Cai Rang Floating Market.

Within the framework of the "Cai Rang Floating Market Cultural Tourism Festival”, there are also cultural performances to serve tourists. Besides, from 5:30 am to 7:00 pm on July 8, 9, and 10, there will be a show of “Don Ca Tai Tu” at Cai Rang Floating Market.
