According to a report by the People's Committee of Can Tho City, from February 8 to 14 (from Lunar December 29 to Lunar January 5), Can Tho City welcomed around 398,000 visitors for tourism purposes. Accommodation facilities catered to approximately 104,000 visitors, contributing to tourism revenue of about 415 billion VND. This represents a growth of 22% compared to the same period in 2023.
Tourism is one of the seven goals identified to improve national competitiveness in Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP dated January 5, 2024, of the Government on main tasks and solutions to improve the business environment, aiming to improve national competitiveness by 2024.
Near Tet in 2024, tourist attractions in Can Tho are more bustling as the old Tet atmosphere is carefully preserved for tourists to take photos and learn about the Tet culture typical of the Southwest region.
