On the morning of November 30, at the Cai Rang Floating Market stop in Le Binh Ward, Cai Rang District, Can Tho City, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Can Tho City, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Cai Rang District, organized the eighth “Cai Rang Floating Market Culture” Tourism Festival in 2024.

On November 29, in Can Tho City, the People's Committee of Can Tho City and Can Tho University co-hosted the 2nd International Forum on Sustainable Development of the Mekong Delta - the 2nd SDMD 2024 (referred to as SDMD 2024) with the theme: "Industrialization - Modernization: Driving Force for Sustainable Development of the Mekong Delta".

On November 29, a conference was held in Can Tho City to review the agreement on socio-economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces and cities for 2023-2024 and discuss the implementation plan for 2024-2025.

On the afternoon of November 28th, Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, together with leaders of a number of relevant departments and agencies had a meeting with the delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Vietnam Office (JICA Vietnam) on the occasion of the delegation's working trip in Can Tho City.

On November 27, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thuc Hien, had a working session with the Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City Daniel Stork to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral collaboration in agriculture, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation.

The students of Can Tho City participated and won the high prizes at the International Robothon Competition 2024 held at Sea Complex Convention & Community Hall, Bangkok, Thailand.

On November 27, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for implementing Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 45/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly, Resolution No. 98/NQ-CP of the Government, and other critical projects in Can Tho City, led a delegation to inspect the progress of projects at the Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (VSIP Can Tho IP).

Domestic waste is a major issue that leads to environmental pollution and diminishes the urban aesthetic of Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region. To address this problem, local authorities have initiated various projects and solutions aimed at waste collection and treatment, as well as environmental protection, all to mitigate the impact of this problem.

(CT) - On the morning of November 25, Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, and Mr. Pencho Milkov, Mayor of Ruse City, Bulgaria, exchanged a memorandum of cooperation between the People's Committee of Can Tho City and the government of Ruse City, in the presence of President Luong Cuong and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, as part of the Bulgarian President's visit to Vietnam.

The Cai Rang floating market is highly valued on the world tourism map. Many renowned travel magazines have featured it as a must-visit destination for tourists exploring the Mekong Delta.
