In response to World Tourism Day of September 27th, the 8th “Cai Rang Floating Market Culture” Tourism Festival in Can Tho City - 2024 will take place for three days, from August 30th to September 1st.

On October 28, the International Biodiversity Alliance and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (Bioversity & CIAT), in collaboration with the University of Economics and Can Tho University, organized a workshop titled “Sharing Knowledge and Experience from Training Activities on Food System Transformation in Vietnam” at the Nesta Hotel. The workshop is part of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) initiative to promote Sustainable Healthy Diets Through Food System Transformation (SHiFT).
On October 30th, leaders of Can Tho City People's Committee had a meeting with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) to hold a provincial consultation meeting on the USAID Project to strengthen local capacity in disease prevention, surveillance and response in Can Tho City, funded by USAID.
On October 21st, during a working trip to New Zealand, the Can Tho City delegation led by Mr. Pham Van Hieu, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City, had a meeting with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
